REC CENTER (GYMNASIUM)
What is in the Rec Center?
The Rec Center of Bonsack Baptist Church consists of a gymnasium with a full-size basketball court. The court can also be converted into two full-size volleyball courts or pickleball courts. Elevated around the basketball court is a walking/running track. Also within the Rec Center is a weight room featuring a selection of fitness equipment that will allow for a full-body workout. On the elevated track level there is an assortment of treadmills, ellipticals, and stationary bikes for a cardio workout. The gym will also be used for a variety of group exercise classes.

Who can use the Rec Center and what does it cost?
Anyone is welcome to use the Rec Center. Any time that the Rec Center is open it may be accessed for $2 a day by anyone. Additionally, monthly memberships may be purchased. A one-person membership is $10/month, a membership for a couple is $15/month, and a membership for a family of 3 or more is $20/month. Group exercise classes are not included in this fee and will be priced at the time they are scheduled. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER.
*What about Wednesday night?
Wednesday nights are reserved for everyone in the Bonsack family to enjoy the Rec Center. On Wednesdays, you do not have to be a member of the Rec Center to use the facility. If you are going to use the weight room or fitness equipment, you will need to have a completed liability waiver on file. The walking track and weight room are available until 9 but the court is often only available until 7 due to church activities.
What does my fee go toward?
The Rec Center is a ministry of Bonsack Baptist Church. The fees collected in the Rec Center will go to support the ministries of Bonsack Baptist Church. More specifically, the Community Life Center is intended to be as self-sufficient as possible. As such, the fees go towards maintenance and upkeep of the facility, operational costs, and possible employee costs. The money that has been pledged to the building fund has allowed us to build a beautiful facility. The fees from the Rec Center will help to give life to its ministries.
The group exercise schedule is on the calendar page . Most classes are $4 for Rec members and $5 for non-Rec members. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the class begins. Day of walk-ups are allowed but signing up in advance will help us know how many people to expect and help us better tailor the class to the number of participants. Signing up in advance also decreases your personal wait time on the day of the class. You may sign up for and pay for more than one class at a time. Payment is required at time of sign up. Please stop by the Rec Desk during operating hours to sign up or call the Rec Desk at 540-977-5280. All classes taught by Rita Perini unless otherwise noted.
